I am currently a PhD candidate in Political Theory at The New School for Social Research.
My work is situated at the intersection of the history of political thought, affect theory, and democratic theory. In my first book project, The Unhappy Poor: A Political Theory of Resentment, I broaden our understanding of the relationship between politics and resentment. Drawing on my research, I have taught courses on the history of political thought, the politics of emotions, and populism.
I hold an MA in Politics from NSSR and a BA in Politics & International Relations from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. My work has been supported by the NSSR’s Dissertation Award. I also won the NSSR’s Three-Minute Thesis Challenge in 2024 and the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award in 2025 . My writing has been published in Political Concepts: A Critical Lexicon.
